Rubbed Flank Steak with Horsehradish Cream | ||

Steak: | |
1/4 cup rye or bourbon whiskey 2 TBS low-sodium soy sauce |

Horseradish Cream: | |
2 TBS prepared horseradish 1 tsp Dijon mustard 1 large garlic clove, minced |

Rub: | |
1 TBS paprika 1 TBS chili powder 1 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1/8 tsp salt cooking spray |

Directions: | |
• | Steak: Prepare steak by trimming fat and placing in a large zip-lock bag with whiskey and soy sauce. Marinate in refigerator for 24 hours, turning occasionally. |
• | Horseradish cream: Combine yogurt, horseradish, mustard, and garlic. Cover and chill. |
• | Rub: Combine sugar and next five ingredients (sugar through salt). Remove staek from bag; discard marinade. Rub sugar mixture over steak, chill 30 minutes. |
• | Place staek on grill or broiler rack coated with cooking spray. |
• | Cook 8 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. |
• | Cut steak diagonally and serve with horseradish cream. |
